How often should LPC Associates meet with their supervisor?
The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) requires a minimum of four hours of supervision per month. Most Associates choose:

  • Group supervision monthly for peer interactions and deeper professional growth

  • A mix of individual, dyad, and group sessions depending on availability and learning needs

Do you provide supervision sessions online?
Yes. All supervision sessions are conducted virtually through a HIPAA-compliant platform, allowing Associates across Texas to attend easily, including Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and throughout all of Texas.

When are group supervision meetings held?
Group supervision meets once per month for two hours on the first Saturday of each month from 7:00–9:00 a.m. (CST).
Note:

  • BHEC allows only 50% of total supervision hours to be completed in group settings.

  • The remaining hours must be completed in dyad or individual sessions scheduled throughout the month.

Schedules can be flexible depending on your caseload and supervision needs.

How long does it typically take to complete LPC supervision in Texas?
