Online Individual Therapist

Sometimes, just putting your thoughts and feelings out into the world verbally takes away the power they hold over you. It can be so easy to focus inward with self-talk that we lose sight of the big picture. I use a person-centered approach, reaching out to join you wherever you are in life and walk with you step by step as you explore personal issues.
Our lives are often filled with such challenges as depression, anxiety, grief, anger, guilt, and loneliness that may seem impossible for one to overcome alone. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and express your emotions. I can help you refocus and learn coping strategies for when things seem overwhelming. I also hold a license as a Texas School Counselor and am a Certified Alexander Technique Instructor. I integrate my knowledge from these backgrounds into clients’ personal treatment plans.
I currently service residents of Texas via telehealth. This platform offers convenience to clients as they are able to have sessions wherever it is comfortable for them saving the hassle of a commute. If you are considering counseling, I urge you to take the first step and contact me.
My current rate is $75 per individual session, please note I do not take insurance. Please call me at 281-608-5049 or email me atabetterpaththerapist@gmail.com with any questions you may have about the process.

Jaimi Maldonado, LMFT-A
Online Couples/Marriage/Family and Individual Therapist
Life provides us with a multitude of experiences, both good and bad. There are times where we find ourselves unhappy or stuck, and unable to move forward toward our desired happiness. Scheduling with a professional is an important and excellent first step. Together we will identify and work toward achieving an improved sense of being. We are all unique, our experiences our own, and there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to mental health.
Therefore, my approach to therapy is person-centered and integrative. It is important that you as an individual feel seen and heard, which often gets lost in today’s society, and I will provide you with your own valuable, safe space to explore and work through your areas of need.
I am a veteran with almost forty years of military experience, from all aspects. It is a different lifestyle with its own set of experiences. For many, it is helpful to talk with someone who is familiar with these unique areas.
For couple’s therapy, I use The Gottman Couple’s Therapy Method. This approach is highly researched and has one of the best success rates in the field.
I also specialize in family therapy systems, as well as work with children and teenagers ages 8 and up. Family therapy is highly effective, for everyone, ranging from specific issues that are of concern, to families that would like to grow and improve together. Sometimes we just don’t have the answers or are in need of support and guidance. I understand the multifaceted dilemmas families can face and can assist you toward achieving goals that will support and work for everyone. That is what it is all about, working together to live in a healthy family environment.
My current rate is $45 per individual session, $60 for couples/marriage counseling, and $120 for family sessions, please note I do not take insurance. Please call me at (347) 709-1006 or email me at j.e.maldonado100@gmail.com with any questions you may have about the process.
